CEO Energy Only: Teaching People How to Treat You

If there’s one lesson that will elevate every area of your life, it’s learning how to teach people how to treat you. Yes ma'am this is a fact!

Too many women give unlimited access to people who bring limited respect. We tolerate slick comments, crossed boundaries, and subtle disrespect—then wonder why we’re exhausted, unfocused, and unfulfilled.

Here’s the truth: you are the CEO of your life and CEOs don’t allow chaos into their boardrooms.

Why Access to You Matters

Access is a privilege, not a right. When people know they can disrespect you without consequences, they will do it every damn time. Teaching people how to treat you starts with what you allow—and what you remove. You must understand that access to you is a gift and you should treat it as such...always.

Peace Is a Power Move

Choosing peace doesn’t make you weak. It makes you strategic. Sometimes growth requires distance—from family, friends, habits, and environments that trigger the worst version of you.

You don’t owe explanations. You don’t need closure conversations. Silence and consistency are boundaries. We want so badly to always explain to others why we are distancing ourselves when that's not necessary. Yes, address the disrespect in a calm manner so the person gets checked right then and there, after that just let your absence speak for you.

Actionable Ways to Take Your Power Back

  • Audit your circle: Who drains your energy after every interaction? Gwooorrll, some people you just have to let go. Be strong and do what is best for you.

  • Set standards: Decide your non-negotiables ahead of time. This is a biggie! If you don't have a clear definition of your standards people will impose theirs on you. This is detrimental to your mental health.

  • Detach with love: Bless people with your absence. Love them from afar, keep your atmosphere clear of negativity.

  • Curate your environment: Protect what you watch, listen to, and engage with.

  • Choose alignment: Peace over familiarity, always.

This Is Your Season

If you’ve felt disappointed by people or unsure how to move forward, this is your sign. Get up. Evaluate and take your power back.

Your goals deserve a version of you that is focused, protected, and at peace. Access to you is earned—and in this season, you’re moving like the CEO you are.

Stay confident. Stay grounded. And always choose peace and ease.
